Les Éléments (By Special Order)

Les Éléments is ALF’s collection of Copper and Brass selections which are handmade in India.

Copper vessels such as water bottles and pitchers are believed by Ayurveda practitioners to positively charge the body resulting in: better digestion; flushing out of toxins; anti-bacterial, anti-inflammatory & anti-aging effects; breaking down of body fat, and brain stimulation.

Copper pans are preferred by chefs as they are an excellent conductor of heat and are very good for top-of-range cooking. They also provide even distribution of heat throughout the pan’s cooking surface. Copper pots and pans help to prepare delicate sauces and dishes that need to be prepared at strictly controlled temperatures. They also make for lovely decor for your kitchen and dining table.

Care Tips

Copper is scratch sensitive. Use a gentle soap and sponge to clean. To polish, use an anti-tarnish cream to clean the copper finish on your cookware or through the traditional way, which is by soaking a soft cloth in lemon juice mixed with salt and gently wiping the copper pots or pans with it. Don't use abrasive cleaners such as oven cleaners or baking soda, as these may damage the copper finish. Allow your cookware to cool before cleaning to prevent warping. Store your copper in a dry place.
